About Us
We aim to ensure that seniors of all ages and abilities enjoy a high standard of living – and we know that their happiness requires a quality, purpose-built house and all the attributes that make it feel like home. We work with a dedicated custom builder to create housing that suits the many and diverse needs of seniors. We employ professional, compassionate and attentive staff to provide the care and services that help our residents live independently, safely and happily. We provide seniors with the security they need to enjoy their time, pursue their interests and maintain their relationships with loved ones. We take pride in providing progressive, attractive housing options for seniors and peace of mind for their loved ones.History In the 1990s our founder and CEO, Endre Lillejord, began exploring housing options for his mother. At that time, institutionalized seniors care was the norm. Choices, services, and environments that supported independence and dignity were not commonly available. Working with our construction company, Pace Setter Construction, Endre built the type of home he wanted for his mother and created Golden Life Management to operate it; Joseph Creek Village in Cranbrook, BC, welcomed its first residents in 1998. Ten years later, Pace Setter Construction has built and Golden Life Management now operates a network of progressive seniors housing communities that provide exemplary housing, hospitality and services to seniors throughout south eastern British Columbia, with more under construction. The personal challenge that prompted Endre Lillejord’s involvement with seniors housing has influenced the development and directed the business objectives of both Golden Life Management and Pace Setter Construction. The companies work in concert, sharing information and skills to reach their common goal of providing excellent seniors housing, hospitality and services. We’re proud of our roots and excited about our future. We intend to continue providing for seniors throughout British Columbia the care and service our founder originally set out to find for his mom.
