Assisted Living

In partnership with Interior Health and BC Housing, Golden Life Management provides the Independent Living BC Program (ILBC), also known as Assisted Living, for residents who qualify for the program.

Assisted living residences provide affordable housing as well as supervision and/or assistance with the activities of daily living. This includes monitoring to ensure a resident’s health, safety, and well-being and the coordination of services provided for the resident by outside health care providers. Assistance may also include the administration and/or supervision of medication and the provision of personal care services, such as bathing and grooming assistance, by a trained professional. Assisted Living is ideal for those who need some help to remain independent, but don’t require full-time care.

Comfort, non-medical and personal hygiene services are available to residents on a short- and/or long-term basis. The following types of services – and more – may be purchased individually or as part of a customized package:

• Medication monitoring
• Bathing assistance
• Grooming and dressing support
• Mobility assistance
• Eating assistance
• Special meal preparation
• Tray service to your room
• Linen and personal laundry service

Our Adult Day Program, Golden Lifestyles, provides therapeutic programs and personal care services for residents and community members. For more information on Golden Lifestyles, please contact the Community Manager.
Rental subsidies are available to those who have lived in British Columbia for the past twelve months. Our staff can explain these options to you, and direct you to the appropriate agencies.
