Joseph Creek Care Village is a seniors community that provides government funded residential care housing, hospitality and support services. Residents enjoy a variety of delicious and nutritious meals, scheduled recreational entertainment and 24-hour a day professional nursing care, delivered in a warm, personal manner.

Joseph Creek Care Village’s 75 residential care suites are grouped into ‘neighbourhoods’ that house residents with similar interests and needs. Each ‘neighbourhood’ is comprised of twelve to fifteen suites that share a kitchen, cozy living room, private dining areas and access to fully landscaped courtyards. Each neighbourhood has direct access to the amenities located on Main Street.

‘Main Street’ is an indoor link between Joseph Creek Village and Joseph Creek Care Village, which has been designed to create the impression of an outdoor mall. Main Street features the Neighbour’s Café, The Styling Company hair salon, Golden Life Pharmacy, a chapel, an exercise room and professional offices.

Together, Joseph Creek Village and Joseph Creek Care Village comprise a Campus of Care that provides independent living, assisted living, residential care, and dementia care.

Joseph Creek Care Village is located in Cranbrook, the largest city in southern British Columbia’s Kootenay Rockies.  Joseph Creek Care Village is conveniently located within walking distance of grocery and retails stores as well as Tamarack Mall, Cranbrook’s major shopping centre. East Kootenay Regional Hospital is only minutes away.

After ten years as a health care manager working with hospitals, community care and residential care facilities, Paul Vieira brought his considerable experience to Joseph Creek Village. When asked why he enjoys his job, he replied, “It’s all about the people! I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many wonderful residents and staff. Add to that the beautiful setting we enjoy here…” And Paul, who has lived in spectacular places all over the world – from Portugal, to Ontario, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and BC’s Vancouver Island and Vancouver – knows a lovely location when he sees it!
